GET YOUR UNIT'S BAGS AT ROUNDTABLE, MARCH 4! (7:00PM Greenville First Unit. Methodist Church) 

Scouting For Food is a yearly effort by Scouts all over the Miami Valley to collect needed food items for their local communities.  This year's drive is scheduled to take place on March 13 and March 20, 2010. 

On Saturday morning, March 13, participating Scouts will canvas residential doors with an empty plastic "Scouting For Food" bag.  Each resident that receives one of these bags is encouraged to fill the bag with items indicated on the bag and leave it on their doorstep by 9 am Saturday morning, March 20.  That morning Scouts will again hit the streets, collecting bags now filled with items to help the needy in their community.

             What is The Buckskin Trail?

The Buckskin Trail originated on Apr 20, 1954. Its purpose was to provide Scouting leaders in the Miami Valley Council with the skills and experience they needed to be successful with their youth in the outdoors. Although the course has adapted and changed over time, Buckskin’s mission is to provide Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters with their required Outdoor Leader Skills and Scoutmaster Fundamentals training certifications.

Although this is our primary objective, the course is open to any registered adult Scout leader. Cubmasters, Webelos Den Leaders, Troop and Pack Committee Members, Venturing Advisors and other adults supporting a Troop, Pack, or Crew that are interested in working with youth in the outdoors will greatly benefit from this training.Why should you come to Buckskin?
